Kentucky Begins To Show Interest In Justise Winslow

Oct 17, 2011 3:27 PM

Justise Winslow, one of the top 20 prospects of the 2014 class is now receiving interest from Kentucky.

Arizona, Houston and Baylor are “showing the most interest,” while he also has offers from Arizona State, Florida, Rice, Texas and Harvard.

“A lot of schools, I just have to stay humble and not let it all get to my head,” Winslow said. “I’m going to wait around and see how it plays out.”

Winslow's father Rickie Winslow was a member of Houston's famous Phi Slamma Jamma team and a first round pick in 1987 by Chicago.

“I know about Kentucky,” he said. “I know it’s the dribble-drive (offense) and most of the guys are one-and-done when they go there.”

Jones III Was Motivated By Suspension To Remain At Baylor

Oct 8, 2011 11:48 AM

Perry Jones III made a somewhat surprising decision to return to Baylor for his sophomore season.

Jones III was suspended at the end of his freshman season for receiving improper benefits from his AAU Coach.

“Being suspended made me want to come back even more because I never got to play in the postseason, and that was something I wanted to experience,” Jones says. “I’m still here, and if things don’t go the way I want to this year, then I’ll come back another year.”
